Operands
| Operand | Description |
|---|---|
| S | The first operand. Entries are binary 8-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) data registers or constants. This is the value to convert. The signed and unsigned value range is 0 ~ 99,999,999. The Hexadecimal value range is H00000000 ~ H05F5E0FF. |
| D | The second operand. Entries are only LREAL data registers. This is where the conversion is saved. |
Float Representation
| Data Type | Mantissa | Exponent | Sign |
|---|---|---|---|
| REAL 32-Bit | Bit 0 ~ Bit 22 | Bit 23 ~ Bit 30 | Bit 31 |
| LREAL 64-Bit | Bit 0 ~ Bit 52 | Bit 53 ~ Bit 62 | Bit 63 |
Notice
Error Flag (F11.0) Notice
The error flag, F11.0, will be ON for one scan when the address of the data register assigned by @D exceeds the range of the data register, D. F11.0 turns ON when the value of the data for converting S exceeds the value range of the data register D.
Ladder Diagram Examples
DBL
The DBL instruction converts an 8-digit binary coded decimal (BCD) value, S, into an LREAL value and saves the conversion in an assigned LREAL data register D.
DBLP
The DBLP one-shot instruction converts an 8-digit binary coded decimal (BCD) value, S, into an LREAL value and saves the conversion in an assigned LREAL data register D. Every time this instruction executes, it energizes the output only once.
