Operands

OperandDescription
S1The first operand.
Entries are 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) data registers or constants.

The 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD)value range is H0000 ~ H9999.
S2The second operand.
Entries are 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) data registers or constants.

The 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD)value range is H0000 ~ H9999.
DThe third operand.
Entries are only 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) data registers.
This is where the sum is saved.

Notice

Error Flag (F11.0) Notice

The error flag, F11.0, will be ON for one scan when the address of the data register assigned by @D exceeds the range of the data register, D. The range of the data register, D, is dependent on the CPU type. F11.0 turns ON when the value of the data for adding exceeds the data register assigned to S1 or S2. F11.0 turns ON when the value of the data for S1 or S2 is not binary-coded decimal (BCD) data.

BCD Operation

The BADD and BADDP instructions perform raw Hexadecimal addition.

  • Only the numbers 0-9 can be used.
    • A-F will NOT work.

Tip: Signed Notation

The value range for BADD and BADDP is H0000 ~ H9999.

  • If the BADD or BADDP instruction is executed while the value for the sum data register, D, is H9999, the overflow value for the sum data register, D, will begin at H0000.

BADD

The BADD instruction adds a 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) value, S1, to a 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) value, S2, and saves the sum in an a

The BADD instruction adds a 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) value, S1, to a 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) value, S2, and saves the sum in an assigned 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) data register, D.

When M0.0 is powered ON, the 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) data register, D2, is added to the 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) data register, D

When M0.0 is powered ON, the 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) data register, D2, is added to the 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) data register, D3, and the sum saved in the 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) data register, D4.

The BADDP one-shot instruction adds a 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) value, S1, to a 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) value, S2, and saves the sum in an assigned 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) data register, D. Every time this instruction executes, it energizes the output only once.
