Operands

OperandDescription
S1The first operand.
Entries are 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) data registers or constants.

The 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD)value range is H0000 ~ H9999.
S2The second operand.
Entries are 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) data registers or constants.

The 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD)value range is H0000 ~ H9999.
DThe third operand.
Entries are only 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) data registers.
This is where the difference is saved.

Notice

Error Flag (F11.0) Notice

The error flag, F11.0, will be ON for one scan when the address of the data register assigned by @D exceeds the range of the data register, D. The range of the data register, D, is dependent on the CPU type. F11.0 turns ON when the value of the data for subtracting exceeds the data register assigned to S1 or S2. F11.0 turns ON when the value of the data for S1 or S2 is not binary-coded decimal (BCD) data.

BCD Operation

The BSUB and BSUBP instructions perform raw Hexadecimal subtraction.

  • Only the numbers 0-9 can be used.
  • A-F will NOT work.

Tip: Signed Notation

The value range for BSUB and BSUBP is H0000 ~ H9999.

  • If the BSUB or BSUBP instruction is executed while the value for the difference data register, D, is H0000, the overflow value for the difference data register, D, will begin at H7295.

Tip: Operand Subtraction Format

S2 is subtracted from S1. (S1 – S2)

Ladder Diagram Examples

BSUB

The BSUB instruction subtracts a 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) value, S2, from a 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) value, S1, and saves the diff

The BSUB instruction subtracts a 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) value, S2, from a 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) value, S1, and saves the difference in an assigned 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) data register, D.

When M0.1 is powered ON, the 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) data register, D4, is subtracted from the 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) data regi

When M0.1 is powered ON, the 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) data register, D4, is subtracted from the 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) data register, D1, and the difference is saved in the 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) data register, D7.

BSUBP Example

The BSUBP one-shot instruction subtracts a 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) value, S2, from a 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) value, S1, and save

The BSUBP one-shot instruction subtracts a 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) value, S2, from a 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) value, S1, and saves the difference in an assigned 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) data register, D. Every time this instruction executes, it energizes the output only once.
