Operands
| Operand | Description |
|---|---|
| S1 | The first operand. Entries are DWORD data registers or constants. The signed value range is -2,147,483,648 ~ 2,147,483,647 (232). The unsigned value range is 0 ~ 4,294,967,295 (232-1). The Hexadecimal value range is H00000000 ~ HFFFFFFFF. |
| S2 | The second operand. |
| D | The third operand. Entries are only DWORD data registers. This is where the product is saved. |
Notice
Error Flag (F11.0) Notice
The error flag, F11.0, will be ON for one scan when the address of the data register assigned by @D exceeds the range of the data register, D. The range of the data register, D, is dependent on the CPU type. F11.0 turns ON when the value of the data for multiplying exceeds the data register assigned to S1 or S2.
Execution Conditions
The DWMUL and DWMULP instructions behave as follows:
- If the value of S1 or S2 is less than the smallest possible DWORD value, signed (-2,147,483,648) or unsigned (0), the instructions will not execute.
- If the value of S1 or S2 is greater than the largest possible DWORD value, signed (2,147,483,647) or unsigned (4,294,967,295), the instructions will not execute.
Ladder Diagram Examples
DWMUL

The DWMUL instruction multiplies a DWORD value, S1, to a DWORD value S2 and saves the product in an assigned DWORD data register, D.

When M1.0 is powered ON, the DWORD data register, D27, is multiplied to the DWORD data register, D30, and the product is saved in the DWORD data register, D33.

DWMULP

The DWMULP one-shot instruction multiplies a DWORD value, S1, to a DWORD value S2 and saves the product in an assigned DWORD data register, D. Every time this instruction executes, it energizes the output only once.

When M1.0 is powered ON, the DWORD data register, D27, is multiplied to the DWORD data register, D30, and the product is saved in the DWORD data register, D33.
