Operands

OperandDescription
S1The first operand.
Entries are 8-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) data registers or constants.

The 8-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) value range is H00000000 ~ H99999999.
S2The second operand.
Entries are 8-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) data registers or constants.

The 8-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) value range is H00000000 ~ H99999999.
DThe third operand.
Entries are only 8-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) data registers.
This is where the sum is saved.

Notice

Error Flag (F11.0) Notice

The error flag, F11.0, will be ON for one scan when the address of the data register assigned by @D exceeds the range of the data register, D. The range of the data register, D, is dependent on the CPU type. F11.0 turns ON when the value of the data for adding exceeds the data register assigned to S1 or S2. F11.0 turns ON when the value of the data for S1 or S2 is not binary-coded decimal (BCD) data.

BCD Operation

The DBADD and DBADDP instructions perform raw Hexadecimal addition.

  • Only the numbers 0-9 can be used.
    • A-F will NOT work.

Signed Overflow

If the 8-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) value of S1 or S2 exceeds the maximum value H99999999, the value will be set to HFFFFFFFF.

Tip: Signed Notation

The value range for DBADD and DBADDP is H00000000 ~ H99999999.

  • If the DBADD or DBADDP instruction is executed while the value for the sum data register, D, is H99999999, the overflow value for the sum data register, D, will begin at H00000000.
