Operands

OperandDescription
S1The first operand.
Entries are WORD data registers or constants.

The signed value range is -32,768 ~ 32,767 (216).
The unsigned value range is 0 ~ 65,535 (216-1).
The Hexadecimal value range is H0000 ~ HFFFF.
S2The second operand.
Entries are WORD data registers or constants.

The signed value range is -32,768 ~ 32,767 (216).
The unsigned value range is 0 ~ 65,535 (216-1).
The Hexadecimal value range is H0000 ~ HFFFF.
DThe third operand.
Entries are only DWORD data registers.
This is where the product is saved.

Notice

Error Flag (F11.0) Notice

The error flag, F11.0, will be ON for one scan when the address of the data register assigned by @D exceeds the range of the data register, D. The range of the data register, D, is dependent on the CPU type. F11.0 turns ON when the value of the data for multiplying exceeds the data register assigned to S1 or S2.

MUL

The MUL instruction multiplies a WORD value, S1, by a WORD value, S2, and saves the product in an assigned DWORD data register, D.

The MUL instruction multiplies a WORD value, S1, by a WORD value, S2, and saves the product in an assigned DWORD data register, D.

When M1.0 is powered ON, the WORD data register, D1, is multiplied by the WORD data register, D2, and the product is saved in the DWORD data register,

When M1.0 is powered ON, the WORD data register, D1, is multiplied by the WORD data register, D2, and the product is saved in the DWORD data register, D5.

MULP

The MULP one-shot instruction multiplies a WORD value, S1, by a WORD value, S2, and saves the product in an assigned DWORD data register, D.

The MULP one-shot instruction multiplies a WORD value, S1, by a WORD value, S2, and saves the product in an assigned DWORD data register, D. Every time this instruction executes, it energizes the output only once.
