IO-SA0400T Functions

Thermocouple Conversion Enable/Disable

  • Thermocouple conversion can be enabled or disabled for each channel.
  • For unused channels, users can make the conversion time short by setting them to disabled.

Temperature Detection Value

  • The temperature detection value saves a converted Celsius and Fahrenheit value into memory.
    • This is down to the first decimal point × 10.
  • The temperature detection value converts the temperature into a digital value:
    • 0 ~ 16,000
    • -192, ~ 16,191
    • -8,000 ~ 8,000
    • -8,192 ~ 8,192

Information for Operation Channels

  • Information for channels under normal temperature conversion is displayed for each channel.
  • If there is any disconnection error in the thermocouple conversion-enabled channel, the bit becomes 0.
  • The bit for a disabled channel is 0.

Disconnection Detection

  • There is a function to detect the disconnection of thermocouple and cables from each channel. 2. If there is any disconnection, the thermocouple module hold the temperature value before disconnection without further conversion.
    • In this case, the error code is displayed while the LED light flickers over 0.2 seconds.

Digital Output Setting

  • Users can select the following value ranges for saving digital output values to buffer memory:
    • 0 ~ 16,000
    • -192 ~ 16,191
    • -8,000 ~ 8,000
    • -8,192 ~ 8,191

Minimum and Maximum Temperature Setting

  • The thermocouple module converts the allowable temperature for each thermocouple into a digital value:
    • 0 (-8,000) ~ 16,000 (8,000).
  • The minimum and maximum value could be set by the user.
    • The thermocouple module converts the minimum value into 0 (-8,000).
    • The thermocouple module converts the maximum value into 16,000 (8,000).

Maximum Sampling Temperature Setting

  • The maximum sample temperature setting is used to detect the wrong temperature if previous sample temperatures and the current sample temperature are higher than a set temperature.
    • Users can set the range of temperature from 3 to 100.
  • If the temperature is not updated under an environment with rapidly changing temperature, users should set higher temperature than the current set value.
