Operands

OperandDescription
SThe first operand.
Entries are REAL data registers or constants.
This is the radian to convert to degrees.

The REAL value range is -2127 ~ 2128 (-1.7014118e+38 ~ 3.4028237e+38).
The radian value range is -6.28 ~ 6.28 (-2π ~ -2π).
DThe second operand.
Entries are only REAL data registers.
This is where the conversion is saved as degrees.

Float Representation

Notice

Error Flag (F11.0) Notice

The error flag, F11.0, will be ON for one scan when the address of the data register assigned by @D exceeds the range of the data register, D. The range of the data register, D, is dependent on the CPU type. F11.0 turns ON when the value of the data for the calculation exceeds the data register assigned to S or D.

Instruction Result

The value resulting from the DEG or DEGP instruction is saved as a degree. The conversion for degrees is: Degrees = Radians × ( 180π )

Ladder Diagram Examples

DEG Example

The DEG instruction converts a REAL radian value, S, into degrees and saves the result in an assigned REAL data register, D.

The DEG instruction converts a REAL radian value, S, into degrees and saves the result in an assigned REAL data register, D.

When the contact, M0.2, is ON (1), the instruction converts the degree value, 2.146755, into the resulting radian value, 123.000000.

When the contact, M0.2, is ON (1), the instruction converts the degree value, 2.146755, into the resulting radian value, 123.000000.

DEGP

The DEGP one-shot instruction converts a REAL radian value, S, into degrees and saves the result in an assigned REAL data register, D.

The DEGP one-shot instruction converts a REAL radian value, S, into degrees and saves the result in an assigned REAL data register, D. Every time this instruction executes, it energizes the output only once.

When the contact, M0.3, is ON (1), the instruction converts the degree value, -1.234560, into the resulting radian value, -70.735077.
