How to clear HMI memory

When using a Maple Systems HMI,
the project, recipe (RW, RW_A, db), data log, event log, and operation log
files are stored in permanent HMI (flash) memory. There are several ways to
clear data in flash memory.

1. Open Utility Manager, select
the HMI series being configured in the upper-left corner, click [Publish] and
then click [Download]. Select [Ethernet] or [USB cable]. Select all the check
boxes at the bottom of the dialog to reset memory locations in the HMI.

2. Open project in EBPro, click
the Home menu [Download PC -> HMI] and then select [Ethernet] or [USB cable].
Select all the check boxes at the bottom of the dialog to reset memory
locations in the HMI.

3. Press the button on the
lower-right corner of the HMI screen, select System Settings, enter default
password 111111 or user-defined password. Go to [History] tab and check [Clear
Recipe], [Clear Event log], and [Clear Data Log] check boxes and then click
[Clear]. When finished, click [OK].

For the cMT Series, press the
orange Start button in the upper-left corner of the screen to enter the System
Settings window. Enter the system password (11111), then scroll down to [Clear
History].

4. Use the following system
registers to clear data on HMI:

LB-9022: Delete the earliest event
log file on HMI memory (set ON)

LB-9023: Delete all event log
files on HMI memory (set ON)

LB-9025: Delete earliest data sampling
files on HMI memory (set ON)

LB-9026: Delete all data sampling
files on HMI memory (set ON)

LB-9028: Reset all recipe data (set
ON)

5. Log in to the HMI as an FTP server (see Technical Note
5090 – Accessing
the FTP Server in the HMI
). Use the “Windows Explorer” method described in
the Tech Note to delete files from HMI memory.
