Summary

In MAPware7000 it may be beneficial to change a specific image that has been provided with the software.  For example the color, size, or orientation of the image may need to be changed.  This Technical Note explains how to find, manipulate and save predefined images for use in MAPware7000.

Solution

1.

Locate the image in the MapleSystems directory.  To do this, navigate to C:\MapleSystems\MAPware7000\Images and select the library that holds the image that will be changed.

2.

Inside the library folder open the image that is going to be manipulated in a graphics program such as Microsoft Paint or Photoshop.

3.

Make the desired changes to the image. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Color
  • Orientation
  • Size – when changing the size of an image it is suggested that the size is changed by changing the pixels of the image in order to keep the memory usage down.

4.

Save the file as a bitmap to a folder.  To do this:

  • Create a new folder in C:\MapleSystems\MAPware7000\Images
  • Select Save As in the graphics program. (Do not just Save the file, it will overwrite the original image)
  • Save the manipulated image as a bitmap in the new folder.

5.

To select the image that was just created in MAPware7000, go to the Picture Properties, and in the Picture Type selection field select Picture Library.  In the Picture Name selection tab select the image by opening the folder just created and selecting the image.
