Summary

When using Maple Systems HMIs, the project, recipes (RW, RW_A), data log, and event / alarm log are stored in HMI memory. The following instructions describe how to clear data in flash memory.


Solution

Method 1:

1.

Open the Utility Manager application that is included with EBPro. The Utility Manager program can also be downloaded by itself here:

Select the HMI series being configured in the upper left corner.


3.

Click the Publish tab on the left pane. Then select Download from the following menu:


4.

Select Ethernet or USB Cable for the connection method, then check all of the boxes located at the bottom of the window.


Method 2:

1.

Open the project in EBPro.


2.

In the Project tab, select Download from the ribbon menu.


3.

Enable all of the check boxes at the bottom of the dialog to reset memory locations in the HMI, then click Download.


Method 3 (HMI5000 Series):

1.

Press and hold on the lower-right corner of HMI screen until the system menu icon appears. Tap the icon to expand options, then select System Settings (will appear as a gear icon).


2.

Enter the System Password (default is “111111″).


3.

Navigate to the History tab in the settings menu.


4.

Enable the checkboxes for Clear Recipe, Clear Eventlog, and Clear Datalog.


5.

Press Clear to wipe the selected data, then press OK to close the menu.


Method 4 (cMT Series):

1.

Press the orange menu button on the cMT screen to open the settings menu.


2.

Tap the lock icon at the top left of the window to open the password entry pop up. Enter the system password (by default this is “111111“). Press Enter.


3.

Scroll down the list on the left hand pane and select Clear History.


4.

Check the items that you would like to reset, then press Clear.


Method 5:

The following system registers can be used to clear data on the HMI from the EBPro project:

LB-9023: Delete all event log files on HMI memory when ON

LB-9026: Delete all data sampling files on HMI memory when ON

LB-9028: Reset all recipe data when ON
