Import Tags

  1. Export Tag Database

In RSLogix 500, navigate to ToolsDatabaseASCII Export.

RSLogix 500 Tools menu open with Database submenu showing ASCII Export option highlighted.
  2. Configure Export Settings

Select the CSV tab, check Addr/Symbol Desc., and enter the destination file names.
  3. Select Export Destination

Browse to the desired destination directory and confirm the selection.
  4. Confirm Export Result

The Export Results dialog confirms the address/symbol description database has been exported to CSV format.
Export Results dialog confirming address/symbol description database exported to C:USERSUSERDOCUMENTS20211119.CSV in CSV format.
  5. Import Tags in EBPro (EasyBuilderPro)

In EBPro (EasyBuilderPro), go to System ParameterDevice. Create a Rockwell DH485 driver, click Import Tags, and select the CSV file to import.

EasyBuilderPro System Parameter Settings Device tab showing Rockwell DH485 device listed with Import Tags button highlighted.
  6. Select Tags to Import

Select the tags to import from the list and click OK.

EasyBuilderPro Add Tags dialog showing TAG1, TAG2, TAG3 with Word address mode and Nfn addresses, all checked for import.
  7. Verify Import Success

A confirmation dialog appears: “Imported tag information successfully.”
