Summary

Pop-up windows save valuable screen space and provide added convenience. Up to six popup windows can be displayed on a full screen window. The windows may overlap each other or may be minimized to an icon. Commonly used data entry devices or frequently viewed monitoring devices can be placed in pop-up windows and accessed with a touch.

Solution

1.

From the Window menu, click Open Window. The Open Window dialog box appears.

2.

Click New Window. The Select Window Style dialog box appears.

3.

Click Base Window. The Window Setting dialog box appears.

4.

Enter X & Y position values, which will determine where the pop-up window is displayed on the screen.

5.

Enter values for the Width and Height of the pop-up window and click OK.

Call a Pop-up Window

Type the window number of your pop-up window in the Window No. box.

Minimize a Pop-up Window

1.

2.

On the pop-up window, a Function Key with the attribute Window Bar must be created.
This is what will be displayed on the task bar when the window is minimized.

3.

Then create another Function Key with Minimize selected. This is the button they will push
to minimize the pop-up window.

4.

To maximize the window again, simply click on the task bar that shows the pop-up’s window
bar.

More Information

The security control feature will not affect pop-up windows. They will pop-up regardless of their assigned security level.

For more information regarding pop-up windows, please refer to Chapter 5, Creating Windows, in the HMI500 Series Installation and Operation Manual that is supplied on CD ROM with the EZware-500 configuration software.
