Summary

When a new HMI or user is added to an EasyAccess 2.0 domain, a padlock icon may appear on the
connection button for non-admin and non-superuser accounts. This indicates restricted access to the HMI.
Proper permissions must be assigned to enable connectivity. This guide outlines the steps to resolve the
issue and ensure seamless access.


Note: You may access your EasyAccess 2.0 domain from anywhere in the world using a web browser so
long as there is internet access.


Solution

1.

Log into the EasyAccess 2.0 domain as an admin at www.weincloud.net.

Navigate to the Directory tab and select the misconfigured HMI.

Click the Permissions tab. If the user is not listed, click Add Permission:

Select the User

b.

Enable VPN, then Passthrough (if applicable).

If the user is listed, click their name to open the dropdown menu.

Click the “edit” button

Sign back into EasyAccess 2.0 on the affected user account to verify permissions are correctly applied.
