Summary
Label libraries and Tag libraries created in EZware-500 can easily be imported into EZware-5000 by following just a few steps.
NOTE: Importing tags into EasyBuilder-5000 v3.32 and earlier versions from Microsoft Excel is only compatible with Microsoft Excel 2003 and earlier versions. Microsoft Excel 2007 is not supported. Importing tags into EasyBuilder-5000 v4.10 does support Microsoft Excel 2007.
Solution
To import a Label Library created in EasyBuilder-500:
1.
Export the CSV file from the Label Library in EasyBuilder-500.
2.
Open EasyBuilder-5000 and import the CSV file into the Label Library.
3.
If there are two states in the EasyBuilder-500 Label Library, before you import it into EasyBuilder-5000, open the CSV file in Microsoft Excel and add four columns to the file. Otherwise EasyBuilder-5000 will make two states into one state.
For Example:
The second line has two states. Add four columns between Column E and F in this example:
The CSV file will now import into EasyBuilder-5000 properly.
To import a Tag Library created in EasyBuilder-500:
1.
Export the CSV file from the Tag Library in EasyBuilder-500
2.
Open the CSV file with Microsoft Excel.
3.
Edit the CSV file as shown below:

Insert a space between column A and column B
b.
Add your HMI5000’s name (found in System Parameters) to the HMI5000’s addresses and the PLC name (found in System Parameters) to the PLC addresses:

Save the CSV file.
4.
Open EasyBuilder-5000 and import the CSV file into the Tag library.
