Bandwidth refers to the maximum data transfer rate of a network connection, determining how much data can be transmitted per second. Bandwidth Control allows administrators to regulate network traffic by setting ingress (incoming) and egress (outgoing) limits per port. These limits are configured in multiples of 16 Kbps. Meaning the minimum bandwidth allocation per port is 16 Kbps, and it increases in increments of 16 Kbps as needed. Proper bandwidth management helps prevent congestion, optimize network performance, and ensure critical data gets prioritized.
