What is Ring Settings?

Ring Settings configure a network redundancy mechanism that ensures continuous operation in case of a link failure. This feature is commonly used in industrial networks to create a ring topology where switches are connected in a loop to provide fault tolerance. If a link in the ring fails, the network automatically reroutes traffic through an alternate path, minimizing downtime.

The Ring Settings will store the ERPS Configuration, ERPS Instance, STP, and STP Port tabs and configure how the network switch will interact in a loop topology.
