What is IP DiffServ?
IP DiffServ (Differentiated Services) is a network architecture designed to manage traffic and prioritize packets for improved Quality of Service (QoS). It classifies and marks packets using the DSCP (Differentiated Services Code Point) tag which determines the level of priority given to network traffic. DiffServ enables more efficient handling of high-priority traffic, ensuring better performance for critical applications. For more details on how packets are tagged and classified, see the What is a DSCP Tag? help topic.
