Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)

A Programmable Logic Controller or PLC, enables control of input and output devices such as sensors, buttons, switches, actuators, and more. PLCs are programmed mainly in Ladder Logic, an easy to learn visual programming language that resembles physical circuit diagrams or relay logic. Can also be programmed in other languages such as Standard Text, Function Block Diagram, or Sequential Function Chart. PLCs can be used by themselves in small applications or incorporated into a larger system for larger applications such as a production plant.
