This communication coupler is required when you want a qualifying cMT HMI, or PLC Base (cMT-CTRL01), to communicate to I/O Expansion Modules via the Modbus TCP/IP or Ethernet/IP Protocol. Only one coupler is required for up to 16 I/O expansion modules.
