Summary

Keypads and keyboards are important for entering data in the HMI applications built with EBPro. Keypads and keyboards are part of the template files included with EBPro. These are part of the template application starting at Window 50. If the keypads and keyboards are missing from the application, the following instructions will assist programmers with retrieving these windows.


Solution

EBPro

To add Keypads to an EBPro project, follow the instructions below:

1.

Go to File -> New to create a new application:


2.

Select the model you are currently working with, tick the Use Template checkbox and click OK:


3.

Go to File -> Save and save the application with the file name Keypad.EMTP.


4.

Go to File -> Open to open the application missing keypads.


5.

Go to Home -> Window Copy:


6.

Click the folder in the Source Project field to browse to and select the Keypad.EMTP application:


7.

In the Source fields enter a window range between window 50 and 65 to get the Keypads or a range of 50 to 77 to get additional template windows.


8.

Choose the destination window to select where the windows will be placed in the currently open application.


9.

Click on Copy and the windows will be copied to your application.


10.

To register the new Keypad Windows as Keypads in EBPro, go to Home -> System Parameters:

In the keyboard section, click on Add to add each keypad window to the system:

Go to a Numeric or ASCII Input Object and assign the desired keypad from the Data Entry tab:


EZware Plus

To add Keypads to an EZWarePlus project, follow the instructions below:

1.

Go to File -> New to create a new application:


2.

Select the model you are currently working with, tick the Use Template checkbox and click OK:


3.

Go to File -> Save and save the application with the file name Keypad.EMTP.


4.

Go to File -> Open to open the application missing keypads.


5.

Go to Edit -> Window Process -> Window Copy:


6.

Click the folder in the Source Project field to browse to and select the Keypad.EMTP application:


7.

In the Source fields enter a window range between window 50 and 65 to get the Keypads or a range of 50 to 77 to get additional template windows.


8.

Choose the destination window to select where the windows will be placed in the currently open application.


9.

Click on Copy and the windows will be copied to your application.


10.

To register the new Keypad Windows as Keypads in EZwarePlus, go to Edit -> System Parameters -> General tab.

In the keyboard section, click on Add and add each keypad window to the system:
