The IEC 60068-2 standard is part of the IEC 60068 series, which covers environmental testing for electrical and electronic equipment. Specifically, IEC 60068-2 refers to various test methods and procedures used to evaluate the environmental durability of devices in different conditions. The standard includes tests for temperature, humidity, vibration, shock, and other environmental factors that may impact the performance of equipment. It ensures that products can withstand environmental stress and operate reliably in diverse real-world conditions.

IEC 60068-2-6: Vibration — Tests the ability of equipment to resist vibrations encountered during transport, operation, or installation. Used for products exposed to vibrations like machinery, or equipment in transportation systems.

IEC 60068-2-27: Shock — Tests the ability of equipment to withstand shock. Used for products that may experience sudden jolts.

IEC 60068-2-32: Freefall — Evaluates the ability of equipment to endure freefall conditions, simulation a drop or fall. Used for products that might be accidentally dropped or subject to impacts.
